OUR HISTORY:

RixLix Productions L.L.C. was founded in 2005 with many of the materials being published and copyrighted prior to that date. Until those developments, the products were available only to those private students in the immediate area of Memphis, TN.

MISSION STATEMENT:

It is our mission to compromise neither in quality or integrity the deliverance of the gift of teaching which our Creator has given us as task.

OUR BELIEFS:

It would be folly to separate our Christian faith from our business practices. It is only through faith that we have seen ideas become realities. We believe that attempting to exploit "The Christian market" without sincerity would be without the blessing of our Creator and would be a certain recipe for business failure.

TESTIMONIALS:

" Comprehensive, concise and impressive describes The Young Christians' Guitar Method, a series of three books authored by Rick Forbus. Complete with level appropriate exercises, descriptive pictorial examples, graduated theory instruction and fun songs to play. The series is a must for any beginning guitar student. I have had the privilege to see, as a member of our Conservatory staff, Rick's love for teaching, his love for his students and his caring character as a person - all of which are evident in his method books".

Ron Norton, Director of choirs, Houston High School

"In today's world, Christian music is reaching a much larger audience than ever before. As a result, the demand for Christian musicians in our community is increasing rapidly across a broad spectrum of instruments and styles of music. Rick Forbus' teaching series for guitar is a great resource for developing the musicians we need in our churches. His use of Scripture throughout the books, as well as his use of Christian songs for training purposes, will help students keep their focus on the Christian purpose for learning to play music. I highly recomend using these well-written and organized books".

Don Sparks, Director Instrumental Ministries, Colonial Hills Church

“I just wanted to say thanks for the great lessons I got back then. There was always a great laid-back vibe and positive attitude toward music that I later came to realize is SO vitally important in lessons; often when studying, music instructors can exhibit an intimidating vibe but you never did. That's so huge, I think. Anyway, looking back I realize how important my lessons with you were when I was first starting to really "get serious" about music. To have an instructor that had a great attitude and also didn't present the 'meaty' things in an intimidating manner is huge. You were always real encouraging. That continues to be important.I got a bachelor's degree in jazz studies from University of NorthTexas and just this month finished up a Master's in jazz studies from William Paterson University in northern New Jersey.”
